What is the purpose of the CCC + LGBTQ+ Summit?
The Summit is a free, higher education conference to support and create resources for LGBTQ people at California Community Colleges. The 2nd Summit is set for November 23, 2019.


When is the CCC + LGBTQ+ Summit?
November 23, 2019. This is the Saturday before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Who may attend the CCC + LGBTQ+ Summit?
The Summit is organized to support California Community College campuses. Anyone interested in and supportive of the purpose of the Summit may attend. (You must be at least 18 years old to attend.)

Who is organizing the CCC + LGBTQ+ Summit?
Students, faculty, and staff from California Community Colleges are involved in the planning of the Summit. UC Riverside's LGBT Resource Center is hosting the event.

How much does it cost to attend CCC + LGBTQ Summit
The Summit is free with online registration.

What food will be provided?
Registered participants will be provided morning and afternoon hospitality, as well as a box lunch.

Will there be gender inclusive restrooms?
Yes. Summit activities will take place in the Highlander Union Building. The 3rd level will have 2 gender inclusive, multi-stall restrooms and 1 single-occupancy restroom. The 2nd level has 2 gender specific, multi-stall restrooms and 1 single-occupancy restroom.

Where do I park and how much does it cost?
Parking is FREE!!  Attendants will be giving out free permits on Saturday 8am to 11am in Lot 1.  Please tell the parking attendant you are attending the Summit and you will be given a free parking permit for the day.

What’s the best way to use air travel to attend the CCC + LGBTQ Summit?
Ontario International Airport is 17 Miles from UCR, and by far the easiest airport to fly into. Also, Southwest Airlines offers direct service between many cities and Ontario.

Will ADA-related accommodations be provided to participants?
Please include needed accommodations when you register online by November 1, 2019. This will ;provide us time to arrange ASL interpretation if requested. We can provide cart rides to and from Lot 1 and the HUB upon request, as well as large-print program books.
